During this time, crisis is overwhelming a lot of people’s life. Crisis has shaken almost all aspects of life in the world such as economy, social and culture, morality, education, politics and many more aspects. This global crisis does not impact the non believers, but also impact the Christ believers as well.
A lot of people now look for blessings for God nowadays. It is not a big thing for God to bless his people, but more importantly God is looking for partners who can receive His power and can be used to be a blessing for others.
We need to see the crisis not from our view point, but we need to see it from God’s view point. At least there are two points that we can learn when we need to pass through the storm in our life:
1. Storm is an opportunity for His people. During the crisis, God is shaking everything that can be shaken. And only the people who obey and keep His words will be saved. If we read from the Matthew 24:13, “But that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”
2. There is always a purpose when God put a storm in our life.
a) Experience miracle with God.
The miracle happens when we meet God personally in our life. Sometimes, the storm is put in our life in order to drag us away from the world activity that separates us from God. God want to meet us personally for He knows that without Him, we are nothing. He wants us to surrender our life totally to Him. We need to be still so we can encounter Him personally. If we read the story when Peter walked on the water in Matthew 14:22-3, we read that Peter obeyed the word of God. He depends on the word of God. We need to be radical and addicted with Jesus for God did not give us the spirit of timidity, but a spirit of pwer, of love and of self-discipline. (2 Timothy 1:7).
b) Storm will bring us to the next level.
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)
Do we give thanks to the Lord when we face the storm in our life? One of the sign that shows a person has been going through the next level is how he/she responses to the storm and life difficulty.
When we know God personally, there is no secret that God hides from us. (Psalm 25:14)
And we will know that His promise is true and He will always keep His promise.
